CRITERIA / POINTS

1. Presence of Vegetable Gardens (At least 300 to 500 square meters)

  • “(MAPALAD-Malunggay and Papaya Landscape. At least 60 trees in rows or along fence/pathways or any suitable place in the school premises) – 10 points
  • indigenous Vegetables – 10 points
  • Tower or High Rise Vegetable Gardens – 8 points
  • Green Leafy Vegetables – 6 points
  • Fruit/Pods/Legumes – 2 points
  • Root Crops and Vines – 2 points
  • Herbal Plants – 2 points

TOTAL = 40 points

2. Urban/Containerized Gardening

  • (At least 20+ containerized with 5 kinds each= 20+=15 points/14-10=10 points/9-5=5 points 4-1=2 points)

TOTAL = 15 points

3. Adoption of Different Strategies/Technologies

  • Bio-Intensive Gardening(Mulching, Crop Rotation, Cover Crops) – 4 points
  • Organic Pest Management/Usage of Fly Traps, Pheromones / Formulated Own Organic Pesticides – 2 points
  • Organic Fertilizer – 2 points
  • Planting Materials Sustainability/Seed Container – 2 points

TOTAL = 10 points

4. Presence of Vermiculture, Greenhouse, Low Tunneling Net Structure and Nursery with Seeds/Seedlings and Storage for Garden Tools and Equipment/Hydrophonics – 10 points

5. Accessibility and Sufficiency of Water Supply – 5 points

6. Contribution to the School Feeding Program/Pictorials – 5 points

7. Record Management/Documentation

*Calendar of Activities/Annual and Monthly Planting Activities

  • Soil Preparation/Planting/Harvesting – 1 point
  • Accomplishment Chart:Quantity of Harvest/Proceeds from Sale/Planting and Harvesting Reports – 1 point
  • Cost and Return Record – 1 point
  • Records of Feeding Program – 1 point
  • Seedling Distribution Record – 1 point

TOTAL = 5 points

8. Community Participation/lnvolvement

  • Involvement of barangay and parents and other school stakeholders in school gardening projects – 2.5 points
  • Community service that gives out seeds/planting materials to the community – 2.5 points

TOTAL = 5 points

9. Overall Impact – 5 points

TOTAL = 100%
