  3. How about the Non-teaching personnel assigned to Senior High Public school located to areas identified as Hardship post where difficulty of situations are experienced the same way the teachers did, like inconvenience of travel due to dangerous terrain, uncomfortable and extreme difficulties every time of the day of traveling from home to school. Teachers there will be receiving their Special Hardship Allowance for CY 2016. How about us non-teaching personnel?

  4. Hello! We are from a very far place of Bantayan,Pilar,Sorsogon last 2014 our school was given hazard pay but last year until now it is never repeated. The locale can only be travelled by sea or by land but we only travel by motorcycle everyday because there is no motor boat offering to transport people from one place to another and the place is really far from the metropolis and we experience a lot of difficulties and worst accidents along our way to school. The road is only one lane causing vehicles to meet accidents and animals elsewhere run through the road which made it more dangerous for us to travel. We are advised before by our school head that it has changed because there is already a jeepney travelling from our workplace to the metropolis but the thing os it only travel once 6am from our station and going back by 12noon. Now, we are not living in our working station and we need to travel everyday and the place is really vulnerable to typhoons and other calamities that never change. We hope to receive the hazard pay because we believe that we are entitled of it as to what we have rendered and struggled each day to be of service to the department of education. Hence, one of the nearby schools in our station has been given hardship allowance which place and topography is the same. With this note, I would like to ask on how we can contest our claims so that the benefits will be regained again by the dying teachers rendering service wholeheartedly. Thank you.

    • As far as I know, funding of SHA is based on report (Proposed recipients) submitted by the Division Office to the Regional for the current year, then region to the national for funding by DBM. For instance, in 2015, you were identified as recipient, then your name will be submitted to the region for funding and be released in 2016. If your name did not include in 2016, then of course you will not be given in 2017. Maybe ask your school head or district supervisor to follow-up every now and then.

  5. We travel for 10kms. from the town going to school. We plan to file for this allowance before yet our school head did not pursue us because the hardship allowance is only for those teachers that handling multi-grade. Is it fair? It was written that we could also avail this grant.

  6. Why is it that special education teachers did not qualify for the Special Hardship allowance wherein SPED teachers experienced difficulties especially teachers who are handling multiple disabilities in a class?
