The Anaheim University, California, USA organizes an Online Certificate in Teaching English to Young Learners (TEYL) (a 15-week online certificate program for English teachers and aspiring teachers who will be teaching English to children between three (3) to fifteen (15) years of age jat the pre-school, kindergarten, elementary or junior high school level) and Online TESOL Centificate (TESOL) (a 15-week online certificate program for English teachers who will be teaching non-native English speakers of any age particularly for those sixteen (16) years of age and above).

The TEYL/TESOL certificate program goals aim to:

a. introduce TESOL/TEYL theory, research and practice to relatively inexperienced or unqualified teachers that is accessible and that is supported by a wide range of teaching materials, teaching ideas and classroom extracts;
b. encourage self direction on the part of students through the provision of follow up resources and ideas;
c. develop the necessasry knowledge, attitudes and skills to enable those students who desire it to go on higher study;
d. present content through a range of print, audio and video media; and
e. foster the development of higher level thinking skills such as the critical evaluation of pedagogical materials.

The Anaheim University also offers graduate studies including Doctor of Education in TESOL, Master of Arts in TESOL, and Graduate Diploma in TESOL.
