Good evening. Can a parent request the school to have her child transferred to another class if she is convinced that her child is not progressing well in her current class? She is an incoming grade 5 student but her math skills are just at grade 1 level. Her reading skills are also quite a few grade levels behind. The teacher always said her child is okay but she knows that she isn’t. She has articulated her desire to ahve her child transferred to another class but the current teacher, who is also the head for the elementary, doesn’t approve of it.
Hello po Sir Mark, will the student be evaluated as retained if the situation falls like he has five failing grades in the Final Grade but his general average is above 75 po.

Good evening, Maam/Sir:
I would like to clarify and ask for an evaluation of this result that we have received from the exam that my son took on November 18, 2021. My son, Reid Kian , is in kindergarten now, and took an exam to enroll in Grade 1 this year because he is 7 years old. The result we received is this:
For the purpose of : Placement
Level Passed : Kinder
Level to Enroll : Subject to the completion of Grade level/s with failed subject/s.
Is he a kindergarten graduate this year? And continue this school year as Grade 1 to complete a failed subject?
Or will he need to complete his kindergarten year this year though he passed all the subjects? And failed to pass in one subject in the Grade 1 exam. Thank you for your response.
Hello po Sir Mark, will the student be evaluated as retained if the situation falls like he has four failing grades in the Final Grade but his general average is above 75 po.
