Principals, Public Elementary and Secondary Schools
President, Mandaluyong Federation of Public School Teachers Association (MFPSTA)
Administrative Officer IV – Personnel

ACCEPTANCE OF PAPERS OF K TO 10 TEACHER-APPLICANTS FOR SY 2016-2017

A number of reports have reached this Office that there are schools that did not accept the papers of K to 10 teacher-applicants for SY 2016-2017 for the reason of non-vacancy in the school.

Please be informed that ALL SCHOOLS should accept the papers of K to 10 teacher-applicants regardless if the school have or do not have vacant items/positions. It does not necessarily mean that the successful teacher-applicant who reached 70 points will be assigned in the school where he/she applied. He/she can be deployed in other schools in the division. Moreover, new items for SY 2016-2017 with specific school allocation are not yet received by this Office, thus, we still don’t know which school has vacant item/position.

Recruitment and selection of teacher-applicants should be a collaborative effort of this Office and all the schools in the Division so that we will able to have enough pool of applicants and hire the best fit in our organization.

On this note, the acceptance of papers of K to 10 teacher-applicants in the school is hereby extended up to April 1, 2016.

There are schools also endorsing the teacher-applicant for their queries and to submit their application in the Division Office.

Please be reminded that all applications should be first submitted in the school and this Office will issue a memorandum for the deadline of submission of the school to the Division Office. School personnel assigned to accept the papers are expected to give accurate instruction to the teacher-applicants.

School Principals are encouraged to prepare and display streamers in front of the school regarding the recruitment/hiring of teacher applicants. The streamer should contain the documents to be submitted and the recruitment period.

Applicants shall submit to the school a written application, supported by the following documents until April 1, 2016:

a. CSC Form 212 (Revised 2005) in two copies with the latest 2×2 ID picture
b. Certified photocopy of PRC professional identification card or a PRC certification showing the teacher’s name, LET rating, and other information recorded in the PRC Office
c. Certified photocopy of ratings obtained in the Licensure Examination for Teachers (LET) / Professional Board Examination for Teachers (PBET)
d. Certified copy of transcript of records
e. Copies of service records, performance rating, and school clearance for those with teaching experience. If unavailable, the applicant must submit a justification citing the reason/s for unavailability
f. Certificates of specialized training, if any
g. Certified copy of the Voter’s ID and/or any proof of residency deemed acceptable by the School Screening Committee
h. NBI Clearance
i. Omnibus certification of authenticity and veracity of all documents submitted, signed by the applicant

The applicant assumes full responsibility and accountability on the validity and authenticity of the documents submitted, as evidenced by the Omnibus certification of authenticity. Any violation shall automatically disqualify the applicant from the selection process.

New applicants shall register to the Department’s online system at application.deped.gov.ph, where they must encode their Personal Data Sheet (PDS) and select the division (s) where they want to be ranked. Once submitted, a Unique Applicant Number (UAN) will be issued. In the submission of application requirements, the UAN shall be indicated, if available.

Applicants without the UAN indicated shall still be accepted by the school. Applicants who are unable to submit the UAN may still go through the evaluation process, be ranked in the Registry of Qualified Applicants (RQA), and be hired. However, the UAN shall be submitted to this Office once it is available.

This Office expects the cooperation of all schools in the Division.
Immediate and wide dissemination of this Memorandum is desired.
