Deped Retains Top Approval Rating in Latest Pulse Asia Survey

The Department of Education (DepEd), under the leadership of Secretary Leonor Magtolis Briones, sustained its quarter-per-quarter high approval rating in Pulse Asia’s Ulat ng Bayan survey.

In the Ulat ng Bayan survey results in March and September 2018, DepEd enjoyed the top approval rating at 84% and 88%, respectively. The Department attributed a significant measure of its high approval ratings to its continuous communication, consultation, and cooperation with stakeholders across varying sectors in addressing pressing concerns and in introducing reforms in the basic education system.

“We are informed that we have maintained the high level of performance ranking up to the latest quarter. The series of high approval ratings of the Department indicates the substantial trust and support that our stakeholders continue to give us, despite challenges and detraction coming from some quarters,” Briones noted.

The latest awareness and performance survey was conducted between March 23 and 27, with a sample size of 1,800 respondents from the National Capital Region (NCR), Balance Luzon, Visayas, and Mindanao, and with a ±2.3 error margin.
