About #Hello2020Graduates: A Virtual Graduation Program

A graduation ceremony is a celebration of the hard work and achievements of every learner, parent, and educator. This rite of passage, a symbol of hope for so many, is an essential milestone, and we would not want that wholly taken away from them.

In partnership with Microsoft Philippines, the Department of Education (DepEd) can make an online graduation ceremony possible for our learners. #Hello2020Graduates is an opportunity to recognize and celebrate the achievements of every learner, parent, and educator amid the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic. With technology, recognition rites are possible by doing it conveniently online using a secure and compliant platform such as Microsoft Teams.

Hello2020Graduates comes with a technical guide and a PowerPoint template to efficiently plan, deploy, and execute virtual graduation ceremonies in participating schools or districts. Microsoft Teams* is the hub for team collaboration in Microsoft 365 that integrates the people, content, and tools needed to be more engaged and productive. With the support of Microsoft Teams, DepEd can continue to honor our learners, parents, and educators without compromising public health and safety.

*Microsoft Teams is part of DepEd’s Microsoft 365 country license subscription.

This program began in three schools in DepEd Region XI.
