With reference to the letter dated March 6, 2020, of Maria Teresa Macanas Semana, Ph.D., CESO IV, Officer-in-Charge, Office of the Director IV, Commission on Higher Education Regional Office III (CHEDRO III), all DepEd Region III officers and employees are hereby informed that FAR EAST ADVENT SCHOOL OF THEOLOGY INTERNATIONAL (FEAST), INC., is a nongovernment, non-sectarian educational institution that offers ecclesiastical programs, and non-secular degrees/programs, hence, it is not authorized by CHEDROIII to offer graduate or postgraduate programs.

Moreover, FEAST is not in the list of recognized HEIs in the Region and neither did it apply for tertiary and postgraduate programs in CHEDROIII.

Enclosed is a copy of the letter of OIC-Director Macanas Semana for reference.

Dear DR. CAPULONG:

This is to acknowledge receipt of your communication dated 20 February 2020 and received by this Office on 2 March 2020, asking for the opinion or comment on the assertions of Far East Advent School of Theology International, Inc., stating that it is not under the jurisdiction of the Commission on Higher Education and that CHED has no accreditation authority over the said school.

In this connection, since it is stipulated in the institution’s Amended Articles of Incorporation filed at the Securities and Exchange Commission that, It is a nongovernment, non-sectarian educational institution that offers ecclesiastical programs, and non-secular degrees/programs”, hence the institution is not authorized by this Office to offer graduate or postgraduate programs. Further, the said Far East Advent School of Theology international, Inc., is not in the list of recognized HEIs in the Region, and neither it applied for tertiary and postgraduate programs in this Office.

  1. If CHED does not recognize it, ano po ang effect nito sa mga naunang nag-graduate at nagamit for promotion ang kanilang credentials coming from FEAST?

  2. Maaari po bang ma promote ang isang graduate sa FEAST kung ang isa sa qualifications ay ang masteral? Considering na hindi accredited ng CHED ang FEAST? Samantalang ang kalaban sa ranking ay may M.A. units din sa isang kilalang unibersidad?

  3. I have taken my PhD in this school in 2011.. Haven’t they take any action with regard to their accreditation since?? Thank you for your reply
