The Teacher’s Gallery (TTG) will hold its National Seminar-Workshop on Moving Forward With Inclusion and Raising the Achievement Level for All from August 19 to 21, 2016 at the Librada Avelino Auditorium Student Activity Center, Centro Escolar University, Mendiola, Manila.
The Conference aims to:
1. provide the participants with a forum for sharing of best practices among educational practitioners in the Philippines and in the US; and
2. establish a common ground for change which culminate with a commitment to maximize their impact in the classroom. Specifically, its objectives are to:
a. exchange and jointly discuss common issues and challenges;
b. present strategies in providing an effective inclusive, quality education;
c. learn how to actualize the strategic approaches into practice; and
d. develop a framework in building an inclusive classroom which is feasible taking into account the school resources, culture, and community support.
The target participants are regional directors, schools division superintendents, assistant schools division superintendents, regional education program supervisors in special education, curriculum learning management division, district supervisors, school principals, department heads, pre-school, elementary and secondary school teachers and special education teachers from both public and private schools.
Participation of both public and private schools shall be subject to the no disruption-of-classes policy stipulated in DepEd Order No. 9, s. 2005 entitled Instituting Measures to Increase Engaged Time-on-Task and Ensuring Compliance Therewith.
