Permanent Representative of the DepEd Secretary to the Literacy Coordinating Council

The Department of Education (DepEd) designates Dr. Diosdado M. San Antonio, Director IV and Officer-In-Charge, Office of the Undersecretary for Curriculum and Instruction, as permanent representative of the Secretary to the Literacy Coordinating Council. This is pursuant to Section 3 of Republic Act No. 10122 entitled An Act Strengthening the Literacy Coordinating Council by Amending Republic Act No. 7165, otherwise known as “An Act Creating the Literacy Coordinating Council, Defining its Powers and Functions, Appropriating Funds Therefor and for Other Purposes.”

In accordance with Section 4 of the said Act, as duly-designated representative to the Council, Dr. San Antonio shall be afforded equal opportunity to vote and participate in any deliberation during its meetings. Furthermore, as permanent representative of the Secretary, Dr. San Antonio will act as Chairperson of the Council.

This designation shall take effect upon issuance.

Immediate dissemination of this Memorandum is desired.
