The Schools Press Advisers Movement (SPAM) Inc., will conduct its Tenth Annual Media Conference, Seventh National Journalism Quiz Bee: Pambansang Pautakang Pampahayagan, Fourth I-Dokumento, and Fourth Intercultural Exchange, with the theme Exhibiting Gender Sensitivity Through Ethical and Responsive Campus Journalism from October 26 to 28, 2016, at the Regent Hotel, Naga City.
The activities aim to:
- recognize the excellence services of campus journalists and advisers;
- hone the participants talent; and
- provide them with the recent trends in campus journalism.
The target participants are the students of publication, education, communication and journalism, communication professors, and school paper advisers.
Participation of both public and private schools shall be subject to the no-disruption-of-classes policy stipulated in DepEd Order No. 9, s. 2005 entitled Instituting Measures to Increase Engaged Time-on-Task and Ensuring Compliance Therewith. This is also subject to the no-collection policy as stated in Section 3 of Republic Act No. 5546, An Act Prohibiting the Sale of Tickets and/or the Collection of Contributions for Whatever Project or Purpose from Stud.ents and Teachers of Public and Private Schools, Colleges and Universities (Ganzon Law).
