Sample Application Letter for Secondary Teacher

Mrs. Janelle Shian Mercado, MAIS
Principal
La Paz National High School

Dear Ma’am;

Thank you for taking the time to review my application. I am interested in applying for a secondary level teaching position in your school. I am looking to use my degree in Secondary Education major in Social Studies. I acquired my teaching licensed two years ago and have practiced the profession since then.

While teaching in St. Matthew’s College, I have had opportunities to work with Junior High School and Senior High School students. I was able to develop my teaching skills as well as my interpersonal skills as I dealt not just with the students but with the different people who were involved in our school community. I have had many accomplished tasks and activities in the previous institution I belonged to such as social extension activities or community involvement projects.

Believing that the more the students are socially involved, the more they develop their opinion and stand in the society they belong, I’d like to instill the value of social awareness (which is one of the hallmarks of the kind of education you offer) in the students of your institution.

I am seeking a career that will help me to continue working with people in various ways. I hope you will find that I am qualified for the position you seek to fill.

If I can provide you with any further information on my background and qualifications, please let me know.

I look forward to hearing from you.

Thank you.

Sincerely,

Jerome A. Puntod
Applicant
