Non-Wearing of School Uniform Due to Crisis on Water Supply

Due to the ongoing crisis on water supply, public elementary and secondary school teachers and students who live in affected areas may not wear their uniform on days identified by their respective school heads.

However, school heads must implement measures to ensure the safety and security of the students such as but not limited to:

a. Strict screening of visitors entering the school premises

b. Use of Gate Pass

c. Wearing of School ID of the Teachers and Students

According to DepEd Undersecretary Anne Sevilla, “We are flexible so that classes will continue and for humanitarian reasons. We understand that water supply should be maximized and utilized for more appropriate uses such as for food and hygiene.”
