Alleged Corrupt Activities of DepEd Local Officials

Office of the Secretary Unnumbered Memorandum dated March 11, 2019, entitled: Alleged Corrupt Activities of DepEd Local Officials, is hereby attached for the information and strict compliance of all concerned.

Alleged Corrupt Activities of DepEd Local Officials

My office has been receiving persistent reports alleging that Schools Division Superintendents (SDS) and other DepEd local officials in certain areas have been soliciting money and gifts from newly-hired teachers in exchange for their hiring, and other corrupt activities.

Please give all your SDS a very stern warning that such practices will not be tolerated. We will not hesitate to pursue administrative discipline as well as refer the matter to the Ombudsman and other authorities for criminal investigation and prosecution.

For your immediate compliance.
