  2. The newly-constructed Basey National High School – one of 10 schools built by the Emirates Red Crescent in Samar and Eastern Samar.

The new school buildings, which will benefit some 7,700 elementary and high school students affected by Typhoon Yolanda/Haiyan, will be formally donated and turned over today to the local governments of Samar and Eastern Samar by officials from the United Arab Emirates’ Red Crescent Society.

The Emirates Red Crescent Society is the United Arab Emirates (UAE) affiliate of the International Federation of Red Cross.
