Key officials of the United Arab Emirates (UAE) Red Crescent grace the opening and turnover ceremony of the rehabilitated school facilities in Basey, Samar. The school facilities were destroyed by Typhoon Yolanda.
The Deputy Secretary General Fahed Abdulrahman Bin Sultan of the United Arab Emirates is joined by His Excellency Dr. Hamdan Al Mazrouei, Adviser to the Crown Prince Abu Dhabi Chairman, Red Crescent United Arab Emirates, Ambassador Mossa A. Alkhajah of the UAE Red Crescent and other members of the UAE Red Crescent.
Basey I Central Elementary School wants to say a big thank you to everyone who are helping us rebuild after Typhoon Haiyan.

The newly-constructed Basey National High School – one of 10 schools built by the Emirates Red Crescent in Samar and Eastern Samar.
The new school buildings, which will benefit some 7,700 elementary and high school students affected by Typhoon Yolanda/Haiyan, will be formally donated and turned over today to the local governments of Samar and Eastern Samar by officials from the United Arab Emirates’ Red Crescent Society.
The Emirates Red Crescent Society is the United Arab Emirates (UAE) affiliate of the International Federation of Red Cross.
