2019 Capacity Building of DepEd Personnel on Intellectual Property

CAPACITY BUILDING OF DEPARTMENT OF EDUCATION PERSONNEL ON INTELLECTUAL PROPERTY

The Department of Education (DepEd), in partnership with the World Intellectual Property Organization (WIPO), will conduct a Capacity Building of DepEd Personnel on Intellectual Property to promote its creation and proper use. The training dates and venues per batch are indicated below.

In this regard, slots have been provided for Science and Mathematics supervisors, research advisers from science schools (Regional Science High School, Legislated Science High School or Science Technology Engineering-implementing schools) and legal officers. The detailed number of participants per region is provided in Enclosure No. 1. The names of participants must be submitted through fax no. (02) 635-9822 or email at annaliza.chan@deped.gov.ph.

Likewise, participants are advised to pre-register online on or before March 2, 2019 on www.deped.in/CapBIP.

Travel expenses, including per diem and other incidental expenses of participants relative to their participation in the activity shall be charged to local funds, subject to the usual accounting and auditing rules and regulations.

Participants are requested to observe the following:

a. Take the cheapest means of transportation to and from the venue,

b. Note that first meal to be served is a.m. snack of Day 1 and last meal is a.m. snack of Day 6,

c. Present endorsement from the Regional Director or the assistant regional director if he/she is a replacement, and

d. Bring their own laptops.

Enclosure No. 2 indicates the program matrix of this capacity building.
