DISSEMINATION OF COMELEC RESOLUTION NO. 10057

(General Instructions for the Boards of Election Inspectors (BEI) on the Testing and Sealing of Vote Counting Machines (VCMs) and Voting, Counting and Transmission of Election Results in Connection with the 09 May 2016 National and Local Elections)

  1. For the information and guidance of all concerned, enclosed is a copy of Commission on Elections (COMELEC) Resolution No. 10057 dated February 11, 2016 entitled General Instructions for the Boards of Election Inspectors (BEI) on the Testing and Sealing of Vote Counting Machines (VCMs) and Voting, Counting and Transmission of Election Results in Connection with the 09 May 2016 National and Local Elections.
  2. The said COMELEC Resolution provides for the rules and general instructions on the process of testing and sealing, voting, counting, and transmission of election results.
  3. All public school teachers who will serve as chairmen and members of the BEIs are enjoined to familiarize themselves with the pertinent provisions, for it will not only strengthen their skills and capability in the performance of election duties, but will also remind them of their signifeiant role in safeguarding the integrity of the ballot.
  4. All regional directors, schools division superintendents or their officers-in-charge are directed to inform all teachers who will serve as chairmen and members of the BEIs by issuing a local memorandum for an effective information dissemination of this matter immediately.
  5. Immediate dissemination of this Memorandum is desired.
