DepEd Uniform Committee for School Year 2020-2021 and 2021-2022

To facilitate the selection of uniforms for officials and employees of the Department of Education (DepEd) for School Years (SYs) 2020-2021 and 2021-2022, a DepEd Uniform Committee (DUC) shall be created.

The Department of Education (DepEd) Uniform Committee shall be tasked to:

a. prepare the guidelines for the selection of the uniform designs and materials that will be most appropriate and suitable for the teachers and nonteaching employees;

b. decide on issues relevant to the selection of DepEd uniform;

c. determine the mode of distributing the clothing allowance for Current Year 2020 and the method of procuring the clothing materials for the selected uniforms; and

d. monitor the implementation of the wearing of the prescribed selected uniforms and resolve issues, which may arise thereafter.

The uniform designs, the mode of distributing the clothing allowance, and the method of selecting the uniform materials recommended by the DUC shall be presented to the ExeCom for approval.

The DUC shall be composed of representatives from the different sectoral groups and offices in the Department, such as the regional directors (RDs), directors of bureaus/services/centers, schools division/city superintendents (SDSs), school heads/principals, national associations/organizations of teachers and nonteaching employees. It shall be headed by Undersecretary Atty. Revsee A. Escobedo as Chairperson and Undersecretary Annalyn M. Sevilla as ViceChairperson. The members shall be composed of one permanent representative for the following national organizations/associations of teachers and nonteaching employees and DepEd offices:

a. National Organizations/Associations of Teachers and Nonteaching Employees (9)

  1. Association of DepEd Directors (ADD)
  2. Philippine Association of School Superintendents (PASS)
  3. National Association of Public Secondary School Heads Inc. (NAPSSHI)
  4. Public Elementary School Principals Association (PESPA)
  5. National Organization of Professional Teachers Inc. (NOPTI)
  6. Alliance of Concerned Teachers (ACT)
  7. National Employees Union (NEU)
  8. Teachers Dignity Coalition (TDC)
  9. Philippine Public School Teachers Association (PPSTA)

b. DepEd Offices (2)

  1. Administrative Service (AS)
  2. Bureau of Human Resource and Organizational Development (BHROD)

The Employee Welfare Division (EWD) shall act as Secretariat and provide support services to DUC.

The abovecited organizations/associations shall submit to the EWD through telefax no. (02) 8633-7229 the name of their permanent representative to the DUC together with their contact numbers

  1. Much better if the design will come from a teacher, his/her experience of knowing what would comport him/her on a daily use basis.
    The design would fit pleasing to the eye, weather he/she is fat or thin.
    The design should be climate resilient.

  2. Para po sa akin mas maganda talaga na iisa lang po ang supplier ng teachers uniform para iisa ang kulay ,tela at disenyo ng uniporme..nagpapakita ng may dignidad at identity..
