Learner must be from a DepEd-accredited/-recognized school (public, private, SUC/LUC, international schools, schools abroad, and BRAC).
These rules apply when learner’s last SY attended is the previous SY Receiving school must confirm previous school had not encoded the learner’s records.

These rules apply when learner’s last SY attended is the past two years and earlier Enrolment is automatically approved unless stated otherwise.

Your school may run in the following scenarios when enroling a learner with enrolment gaps in the LIS:
- The learner was officially enrolled in their previous school, but said school failed to encode the learner in the LIS.
- The learner may have attended a non-accredited school, whether in the Philippines or overseas.
- The learner had attended non-formal education and will be attending formal education this school year.
To be able to proceed with the enrolment, ensure to gather the learner’s most recent enrolment history for your school to use as its basis for this SY’s enrolment.

Schools must send to their SDO relevant learner documents (Form 137, PEPT, PVT, A&E, Kindergarten Certificate, etc.) to facilitate the approval of enrolment of learners with enrolment gaps.
To move a learner from non-graded to graded, your school must submit the learner’s SPED assessment form for approval of SDO.
What if the latest LIS record reflects a significant enrolment gap, but current documents can prove that the learner was physically enrolled in the school during the previous school years?
The learner shall no longer be required to submit a PEPT reference number or Kindergarten Certificate, provided the school submits to the SDO the appropriate documents that can prove the learner’s attendance.
Leave the Certification/Accreditation/Equivalency dropdown to “–select–“. The LIS will successfully allow the learner to be enrolled in the school.
What if the learner from an accredited or recognized school was tagged as promoted/conditionally promoted, and that their latest enrolment as inputted in the additional information required exactly matches their existing LIS records?
The school can successfully enroll the learner without being asked for further requirements, such as PEPT/PVT reference numbers.
This case creates an assumption that no enrollment activitiy ever occured during the gap.
