SPLAT – Supporting Parents, Learners, Administrators and Teachers, is a Student Information System (SIS) and Learning Management System (LMS) developed specifically for the Philippines. Use of our SPLAT software including servers and hosting is offered completely FREE for the next two school years for any school in the country. Rightsize Education Technologies, Inc. is a US-based company with offices in Pasig City, Metro Manila. We designed and developed SPLAT software as a Corporate Social Responsibility and have enhanced it to help with the impact of COVID-19 in the education sector.
There is no obligation to the schools if they sign up and they can leave anytime. We hope that the schools will give SPLAT a chance to address their needs. Every component of SPLAT has been engineered to meet or exceed RA 10173, the Data Privacy Act. All data is stored exclusively in the Philippines.
We know that many schools divisions are challenged by connectivity and technology for their students. SPLAT is designed to run on cheaper and older smartphones that can be shared by a whole family. Our software allows teachers to distribute modules, video instruction, presentations, and lectures to learners who have only limited and periodic internet access. Unlike other platforms, SPLAT is asynchronous and can work in IT/connectivity challenged areas.
SPLAT Goals
- Increase student performance by improving parent awareness and participation in the learning process.
- Allow learners with constrained budgets to safely continue their education even with limited internet access and without requiring laptops or tablets.
- Provide tools for teachers to reduce their administrative burden so they can spend more time preparing and teaching.
- Support DepEd with school forms and standardized reporting.
