The 2015 Palarong Pambansa will be held from May 3 to 9, 2015 at the Davao del Norte Sports and Tourism Complex, Tagum City to be hosted by the Provincial Government of Davao del Norte and the Department of Education (DepEd) Regional Office XI to be assisted by the Schools Division Office (SDO) of Davao del Norte.
The National Executive Committee, chaired by the Undersecretary for Regional Operations, together with the Local Host Palaro Executive Committee led by the Governor of the Provincial Government of Davao del Norte as Chairman, and the DepEd Region XI Director as Co-Chairman, together with the Host Schools Division Superintendents (SDSs), is hereby convened.
The DepEd regional officers (ROs) shall organize their respective athletic delegation comprising the best student-athletes, coaches and officials.
The technical management, as well as the financial, administrative and operational matters relative to the preparations, hosting and conduct of the Palarong Pambansa shall be under the Office of the Assistant Secretary for Legal and Legislative Affairs to be assisted by the School Sports Events and Activities Unit (SSEAU). The SSEAU shall provide the list of the technical management, secretariat/staff, and operational services.
The sports events played in previous 2014 Palarong Pambansa with its related general and technical guidelines shall remain in effect unless otherwise amended, modified or revised.
Pursuant to the provisions under Republic Act (RA) No. 10588, otherwise known as Palarong Pambansa Actof 2013, the following guidelines are hereby adopted:
- Fitsal, Billiad, Wushu and Wrestling shall be played and remain as demonstration sports. The winners shall be awarded with medals; however, the same shall have no merit in the count of the participating regions.
- Sipa Takraw in the elementary division shall be renamed as Sepak Takraw Jr. The rules in Separk Takraw shall be applied. Sepak Takraw for girls shall be added in the secondary level, but it will remain as demonstration event.
Enclosed is the list of the team composition and sports events to be played.
The clean, and Gree and Eco-Friendly Policy which is being implemented during the Palarong Pambansa shall enjoined and adhered to.
