Recruitment of Elementary and Secondary Teacher – Applicants for Teacher I Position, SCHOOL YEAR 2016-2017

1. This office announces the recruitment of Elementary and Secondary Teacher-Applicants for Teacher 1 positions for School Year 2016-2017. Relative thereto, the following activities shall be undertaken:

2. The members of the School Screening Committee, Division Selection Sub-Committee, and the Division Selection Committee should be guided and well-informed of the guidelines as found in DepEd Order No. 9, s. 2016 (DO No. 9, s. 2016), as to how the hiring process will be done in the division.

3. The specific provisions of DO No. 9, s. 2016 is hereunder quoted as follows:

1. The Department of Education (DepEd) hereby reinforces DepEd Order No, 7, s. 2015 entitled Hiring Guidelines for Teacher l Positions Effective Shoot Year (SY) 2015-2016 as the primary hiring policy to be used in the evaluation and selection of teachers for the kindergarten, elementary, and junior high levels from hereon until further notice.

2. In the event that the schools division office still has available teaching positions after having implemented DepEd Order No. 7, s. 2015, DepEd Order No. 22, s. 2015 entitled Hiring Guidelines for the Remaining Teaching Positions Effective SY 2015-2016 shall be used.

3. The said Orders shall be effective until such time these are repealed, rescinded, or modified accordingly by the Department.

4. Immediate dissemination of and strict compliance with this Order is directed

4. Teacher-applicants who were included in the previous Registry of Qualified Applicants (those who have earned 70 points or more) NEED NOT submit the same documents expected from the New Applicants, instead, they should submit the following:

a. Application letter signifying their intention that they will provide ADDITIONAL documents that will help INCREASE their scores.

b. Relevant additional documents, such as, but not limited to:

i. Appointment;
ii. Contract of Service/Job Contracts
iii. Service Records and/or Certificate of Employment (for applicants employed in recognized Private schools);
iv. Other proof of teaching experience (i. e. certification from a TESDA-registered/accredited institutions)

5. Teaching Experience in Day Care Centers/Institutions will be credited only for applicants who are qualified to teach in Kindergarten/Pre-Elementary Education (i. e. Elementary applicants with Specialization in Kindergarten/Pre-Elementary Education and/or applicants with at least eighteen (18) MA units in Kindergarten/Pre-Elementary education)

6. The List of Requirements to be submitted by New Teacher-Applicants are hereto attached. (Attachment A).

7. The List of the members of the Division Selection Sub-Committee both for Elementary and Secondary is also hereto attached. (Attachment B and C, respectively.)

8. Immediate and wide dissemination of the contents of this Memorandum is desired.

I have the honor to submit herewith the following documents as an applicant for a teaching position in the Division of Leyte, to wit:

a. CSC Form 212 (Revised 2015) in two copies with the latest 2×2 ID picture
b. Certified photocopy of PRC professional identification card or a PRC certification showing the teacher’s name, LET rating, and other information recorded in the PRC Office
c. Certified photocopy of ratings obtained in the Licensure Examinations for Teachers (LET)/Professional Board Examination for Teachers (PBET)
d. Certified copy of transcript of records
e. Copies of service records, performance rating, and school clearance for those with teaching experience. If unavailable, the applicant must submit a justification citing the reason/s for unavailability.
f. Certificates of specialized training, if any
g. Certified copy ot the Voter s ID and/or any proof of residency deemed acceptable by the School Screening Committee
h. NBI Clearance
i. Omnibus certification of authenticity and veracity of all documents submitted, signed by the applicant

Likewise, I hereby certify that these documents that I have submitted are authentic and true and I assume full responsibility and accountability and its validity.

DepEd Leyte 2016 Ranking of Teacher I Applicants

March 7, 2016 Update:

The Schedule for the English Proficiency Test for Teacher I Applicants that was scheduled this March 12, 2016 was postponed and rescheduled to April 11, 2016. The venue for the said activity is still at Palo I Central School Palo, Leyte. Being on the venue by 7AM is encouraged.
