DIVISION SELECTION COMMITTEES AND TIMELINES FOR HIRING KINDERGARTEN TO GRADE 10 (K to 10) TEACHERS BASED ON DEPARTMENT OF EDUCATION (DEPED) ORDER No. 9, S. 2016 RECRUITMENT, EVALUATION, AND SELECTION PROCESS, SY 2016 – 2017

1. The Department of Education (DepED) issued DepED Order No. 9, s. 2016 that reinforces DepED Order Nos. 7 and 22, s. 2015 entitled “HIRING GUIDELINES FOR TEACHER I POSITIONS EFFECTIVE SCHOOL YEAR (SY) 2015-2016” and “HIRING GUIDELINES FOR THE REMAINING TEACHING POSITIONS EFFECTIVE SY 2015-2016, respectively as the hiring guidelines for kindergarten to grade 10 teaching positions from hereon until further notice.

2. Paragraph 6.1 of DepED Order No. 7, s. 2015 provides that the Schools Division Superintendent (SDS) shall issue a memorandum organizing and designating the members of the following committees:

a. School Screening Committee
b. Division Selection Committee

3. All Public Elementary and Secondary School Heads (K to Grade 10) are hereby directed to identify their respective School Screening Committee (SSC) members and shall then transmit the Composition of the SSC on or before February 29, 2016 to the Office of the Schools Division Superintendent for the issuance of a corresponding Designation Order.

4. Enclosed to this Division Memorandum are the following to ensure proper conduct and implementation of DepED Order No. 9, s. 2016 :

a. Composition of Division Selection Committees (Kindergarten, Elementary and Secondary)
b. K to Grade 10 Teacher I Positions Recruitment, Evaluation and Selection Process and Timelines

5. For immediate compliance and widest dissemination.
